Super Saiyan is a transformation beyond Super Saiyan 3. Goku achieves this form in the film Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, and uses it against the God of Destruction Beerus.
In various media, Goku is called God Goku in this state. When Goku transforms into this form, he has a fiery aura.
He appears with his hair glowing red in the same way as his base form, red eyes, a little thinner, and a flaming aura.
This warrior's power excites even the God of Destruction Beerus. The form allows Goku to sense divine ki, but he soon reverts to his normal form due to the form's time limit.
This is not actually a transformation, but a state of greater power after mastering the power of Super Saiyan God.
Goku perfects this state at some point during his training with Whis, and uses it in The Rebirth of 'F' during his battle against Frieza.
